Engagement Center

The UT Office of Annual Giving Engagement Center contacts more than 35,000 alumni, parents, and friends of the university throughout the nation. Every year, our student employees helped connect alumni and donors with meaningful philanthropic opportunities.

The Engagement Center employs more than 80 students each semester. These students include our callers, caller mentors, and student managers. Our student fundraisers gain valuable experience for their future careers while earning money to support their education.

Working at the Engagement Center will enhance your communication skills and be an attractive addition to your resumé. Student advancement representatives are not just fundraisers, but ambassadors for the university.
Salary: $12.00 per hour starting pay, plus incentives and opportunities for raises and promotion.

Student advancement representatives contact alumni, friends and parents of the University of Tennessee to:

  • Maintain updated contact information

All UTFI Engagement Center student employees are required to work a minimum of three shifts per week. Available work hours are:

  • Monday-Thursday: 5:30-9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 2-5 p.m.; 6-9 p.m.

Student employees choose a core schedule at the beginning of each semester based on their individual availability. Scheduling is flexible to promote your academic success.

New employees attend three two-hour, paid training sessions before beginning work. Trainings are typically held in the afternoons Sunday–Thursday at various times between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
