Therapy dogs for those in need
H.A.B.I.T. (Human-Animal Bond in Tennessee) works to promote the special emotional bond that humans and animals share. This program sponsors pet visitation in care facilities including nursing homes and hospitals by trained volunteers and pre-screened animals. This exclusively volunteer-run program relies on support from the community to continue providing services to numerous facilities in the area.

Companion Animal Initiative of Tennessee (CAIT)
The mission of Companion Animal Initiative of Tennessee (CAIT) is “to improve the lives of companion animals and reduce the homeless pet population in Tennessee by promoting humane education and spay/neuter initiatives.” CAIT relies solely on support from the community to continue providing critical services for pet populations in the Knoxville region.

Small Animal Assisted Care Fund
UT College of Veterinary Medicine’s teaching hospitals are self-supporting. For the past fifteen years, individuals have supported our Small Animal Assisted Care Fund to share their resources with other pet owners who cannot pay for all of their pet’s care. Please consider a gift to our Assisted Care Fund to help us alleviate the unnecessary loss of our animal companions at a time we need them most. Our clients and our compassionate veterinary caregivers need and appreciate your support at a time when they are carrying a heavy emotional burden.

Large Animal Assisted Care Fund at UTCVM
UTCVM Equine, Farm Animal Hospital and Equine Performance and Rehabilitation Center provides referral service, routine care, emergency care, and herd disease outbreak investigations for horse and livestock owners. Our Large Animal Assisted Care fund provides resources to help cover the veterinary costs for pet owners who cannot pay for all of their pet’s care. A gift to this fund helps to alleviate the unnecessary loss of animals at a time when we need them most. Our clients and our compassionate veterinary caregivers need and appreciate your support at a time when they are carrying a heavy emotional burden.

The Ewing Gallery of Art and Architecture is home to UT’s premier art and architecture gallery, hosting exhibitions that showcase both historical and current design and serve as an educational resource for the community.
McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture
The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture advances understanding and appreciation of the earth and its peoples through the collection, preservation, study, interpretation, and exhibition of objects and data. Pride of the Southland Band
The Pride of the Southland Band is one of the oldest collegiate band programs in the world, known for its “outstanding musical performance and precision marching.” Currently hosting 340 members, this program provides top-notch musical training for its students.
UT Opera Theatre
The UT Opera Theatre offers premier operatic training for students, as well as opportunities to participate in productions with the Knoxville Opera, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and Oak Ridge Symphony.
UT Symphony Orchestra
The UT Symphony Orchestra is a 70-piece ensemble dedicated to providing students with a superior musical education. The Orchestra hosts numerous concerts throughout the year.
WUOT – 91.9 FM
WUOT 91.9 FM is a public service of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, dedicated to its land-grant mission, connecting with Tennesseans and serving our state. We aim to serve our region with accurate information and diverse entertainment. In addition, our partnership with the School of Journalism and Media expands access for future journalists to produce stories highlighting the stories, voices, and history of East Tennessee.
WUTK – 90.3 FM
WUTK is the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s student-run radio station providing music, news, and sports broadcasts. Your gift will help to enhance current program offerings which allow students of the UT Department of Journalism and Electronic Media to deepen their understanding of broadcast journalism.
Our station has the unique ability to reach everyone in East Tennessee because radio remains a free and equitable information source. Support from donors like you allows us to remain a trusted, independent NPR-affiliate in our community, increase our local journalism efforts, and grow outreach like podcasts and online streaming.
Camp Koinonia
Camp Koinonia is an outdoor education program for individuals ages 7-21 who have multiple disabilities. The camp is offered through the Therapeutic Recreation program that is housed in the Department of Kinesiology, and participants come from special education classes across the state. Your gift will assist in programmatic needs, as well as travel and lodging for students of the camp.

The Precious Prints Project
The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has established the Precious Prints Project in collaboration with local business, Precious Metal Prints, as a way to comfort grieving families who have lost a child. Families are gifted with a silver pendant of the child’s fingerprint as a remembrance of a life lost too soon.

The Big Orange Pantry fulfills emergency food needs for students, faculty, and staff attending or employed by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. A gift of just $50 can provide 150 meals!
Big Orange Meal Share
Big Orange Meal Share is a “short-term meal assistance program” that allocates meal swipes to students in need. Students with extra meal swipes can also donate their swipes to this program. Your gift to the Big Orange Meal Share will help students facing food insecurity and contribute to a more successful academic experience.
Saving Unused Food on Campus
Food4VOLS
Food4VOLS is a partnership between Knoxville’s Culinary Institute and Vol Dining to collect unused food and transform it into ready-to-heat and ready-to-eat meals for those on campus experiencing food insecurity.

A focal point for veterans and military-affiliated students, the Veterans Success Center serves the student veteran population with support, resources, and education. The Center create a successful environment for veterans as they navigate from military service to higher education.

Vols of Honor
The Vols of Honor Scholarship Endowment supports dependents and spouses of first responders and military members killed or disabled in service to their country and communities. This scholarship is a partnership with the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Provide Pediatric Services
The Vine School Health Center was established in 1995 between the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Knox County Schools Health Services Department to provide pediatric outpatient services to students who may have limited access to healthcare. The clinic has also recently expanded to add services like social work, counseling, telehealth, and more.
Student Health Center
The Student Health Center is a health clinic accessible by all UT students, “Caring for All Vols” regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomical status, and more. The clinic offers services such as immunizations, physical examinations, gynecology care, and more.

Basic Needs Emergency Fund
The Basic Needs Emergency Fund assists students with short-term financial needs including utilities, minor medical expenses, basic technology, and more. Your gift can help relieve a student’s financial stress, allowing them to have a more successful academic experience.
UT Promise Scholarship
The UT Promise Scholarship is offered to admitted first-year, transfer, and continuing students who qualify for the HOPE Scholarship and have an annual family income of less than $60,000. When combined with other federal, state, and institutional aid, this scholarship covers tuition and mandatory fees.
Flagship High School Scholarship
The Flagship Scholarship is offered to admitted freshmen who graduate from one of 38 designated flagship high schools. When combined with the HOPE Scholarship, this scholarship covers a student’s tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight semesters.
Tennessee Pledge Scholarship
The Tennessee Pledge Scholarship is offered to admitted freshmen with a family income of $40,000 or less. When combined with other federal, state, and institutional aid, this four-year scholarship covers direct costs—tuition, mandatory fees, and an average of on-campus room and board expenses.
